This project will deliver a range of Young Scot Services in order to engage, inform and empower young people in Renfrewshire.  The development of the Young Scot offer in Renfrewshire is an opportunity to deliver enhanced universal services as well as improved outcomes for targeted groups of young people disadvantaged by poverty or looked after and accommodated young people.

  • Increase the number of young people with a Young Scot card in Renfrewshire through bulk processes
  • Develop “local” youth information content for website
  • Increase the range of local discounts available through the card to incentivise participation
  • Develop the Young Scot Reward scheme and promote positive participation in schools and communities
  • Develop and promote social media channels
  • Develop the card for transport, leisure and use in our libraries.
  • Increase awareness of the PASS voluntary proof of age scheme element of the Young Scot card
  • Increase Young Scot card uptake in older young people (18+) – this to be done by a partnership with West College Scotland and promotion in University of the West of Scotland
  • Strengthen relationships with neighbouring local authorities and identify key areas to work together to promote the Young Scot card
  • Supports young people to lead positive, active lifestyles
  • Encourages participation and connects young people to local and national activities and gives them access to exclusive money can’t buy experiences
  • Encourages young people to maximise their potential through volunteering opportunities
  • Access to discounts, incentives and services which increase their ability to enjoy positive healthy lifestyles
  • Enables easier access to Council and partner services aimed at young people

The project is still in delivery.  The learning will be updated once the project is completed.
